Weekly Want #14

Dress - Miss Selfridge £39

This is so very very pretty and ballerina-esque. I can imagine it would make me walk with a spring in my step and swinging my hips! I'm such a little girl when it comes to dresses, I'm all peter pan collars and floaty hems!
I'm not feeling all to well at the moment so I'm dosing myself up with tea and chocolate, which doesn't seem to be helping all too much but medicine is icky and I really hate taking it :(
I've got a trial for a new job next week so fingers crossed I'll feel better for then.

I don't want you now..

Mac - Watch Me Simmer
I think I'm addicted to coral lipstick.. after buying this one I found I already had a Barry M one very very similar in shade to this, oops. As expected though this Mac lipstick has a better consistency, better wear and pigmentation.
This lipstick is on the bright side and not for the faint hearted, I'm lucky that even with such pale skin as mine that I can get away with such a bright colour (I think I'll always prefer corals and reds over pinks and purples) , and it really brings out the blue in my eyes as well. So despite having already got similar lippies, this is probably the one I will pick out of them to wear!

Weekly Want #13

Topshop - £45
This top is extremely over priced but so very perfect. I'm feeling a DIY? The studding will be simple enough but I've never ombred clothing before so I may have to practice first, I know I have some pastel dye somewhere..! Would people like to see a DIY of this? I'm sure plenty will crop up over the blogosphere in the next few weeks but I'll definitely be attempting one.

To live doesn't mean you're alive

Hello Viva Glam Nicki! After spotting this lipstick doing the blogging round and always hearing how great Mac lipsticks are I was a little naughty and ordered a couple. I originally only put Viva Glam Nicki in my bag but a few other items crept in (not my fault, promise!) but all the money, yes ALL, from the price of this lipstick goes to a charity helping those affected by AIDs so this justified the price tag.
Anyway, onto the actual lipstick, it's a little more corally than I expected but I'm pretty glad that it is as I think it suits my paleness better that way, I find coral colours are a good contrast with my blue eyes too. The lipstick is a great texture really creamy and non drying which is something I have a problem with, must get to lush to buy some lip scrub, it looks yummy! I think the lipstick looks different on me than it does on most others, I don't think it looks like I'm wearing the same lipstick as Nicki is in the campaign if I'm honest but, I love it all the same.
If you're hesitating buying this, don't, just do it I'm sure you'll love it just as much as I do.

Weekly Want #12

Ever since seeing the Charlotte Olympia cat face shoes on the likes of Alexa Chung and Katy Perry, I've been lusting after a pair. After ALOT of eBay lurking I've found a pair here, I'm sure they would be a long wait in them coming as they ship from Korea but, once the month is out I'm defo treating myself to these. I think it's nice when they finally turn it, kinda like a surprise present to yourself from youself!
Now I'm going to sort out some scheduled posts for the week as I'm VERY busy next week with work and I've got an interview to prepare for! Wish me luck!

Each subtle shade fell like a secret shed

So I caved and got the Naked2 palette and doing what every other blogger has done that already owns it and blogging about it!
The main reason I decided to purchase was the fact that I NEVER buy eyeshadow and when I do I pick up greys or purples and thought I could do with a set of neutral shadows and well, this fits the bill!
The next reason was the fact that I managed to score the palette from buyapowa for £26, bargain! However, when I received it it was covered in black dust, which turned out to be one half of my Blackout shadow, booooo :'(
Never mind.. once I'd cleared it up it didn't look so bad but it was still really annoying!
My favourites have to be Half Baked, Snakebite and Pistol. Which are you favourites and are you happy with your palette or do you prefer the first Naked palette?

Weekly want #11

Dress - Topshop £32
Still thinking ahead to Summer and think this will be perfect for throwing on with a pair on Ray-Bans and some studded sandals! I'm on a no spend on clothes for at least two weeks so hopefully I'll find this in store when I allow myself to waste some money again!

Pumped up kicks

Finally got my hands on these babies! After trawling eBay for them, I told myself I would not pay £110 for them from Topshop when they were still online, I finally won a pair. Saved myself 50 squid so canna complain even if they are shop seconds I believe? Well whatever I'm in love.
Managed a whole week of  not spending money on clothes which is a good job as my car has just cost me way too many pennies for my liking :( waaahhhh

I don't want to beg your pardon

Studio Matte Lip Colour (from top-bottom) Neutral & Coral
Lipstick In Classy ELF cosmetics
L-R Lipstick in Classy, Studio Matte Lip Colour in Coral,
Studio Matte Lip Colour in Neutral
I splurged on a few items from ELF last week and picked up a few more of their fabulous lip colours. Their lipsticks start at just £1.50 and are really great quality for such low prices, I got the shade Classy which is a lovely, well, classic pink. The shade suits my pale skin which I'm really pleased about, although I seem to be lucky in the fact I can carry off a wide range of lip colours.

The other lip products I purchased were the Studio Matte Lip Colour in coral and neutral. I love both colours and how they glide on but with most matte products I found these very drying, not a good look! I'd still highly recommend these as at £3.50 each they're a beauty bargain and with a little lip priming you can stop your lips looking all flakey.

Time means nothing

This post is a little thank-you to the lovely people from Ciate who ran a twitter competition last week and I managed to bag myself a prize! All you had to do was tweet a picture of yourself with look magazines feature on the nail varnish's (as seen below) that Adele wore to the Brits to win them!

I never buy red nail varish so I'm pretty pleased to have won one and anything sparkly I have to have. Having never tried Ciate before I was excited to try them and they didn't dissapoint, great consistancy and the packaging is too die for. They look great seperate and layered together and I just know I'll be waering the glitterpaint ot all the time

If you want to follow Ciate nails on twitter you can here

R U Mine?

I am so pleased I added this little gem to my ELF order last week, I've been after a mattifying top coat for a while and I couldn't say no at £1.50.

It looks a little like glue in the bottle and I wasn't getting my hopes up for a good result but as you can see in the above picture (top finger without topcoat, bottom with) it makes nails matte perfect! They feel so nice as well, can't put my finger on what they feel like exactly but it's nice! I'll be purchasing this again and trying it on all my shiny nails, it's a cheap and quick way to update your nails, especially if you get bored of them quickly like me!

I had so many packages to come home too this week, I've had to stay at work this week and I don't envy anyone that has a live-in job, it's so hard to switch off and get away from work mode without physically leaving the place. Needless to say I'm glad to be home! I'll blog about the rest of my ELF order soon!

PS How good is the new Arctic Monkeys track?! LOVE

Weekly Want #10

Bikini Top - £26, Bikini Bottoms - £18 both ASOS
Having just booked a holiday I'm now officially allowed to plan my Summer wardrobe. Bikini shopping has to be the most awkward thing for most girls, I don't know many girls that are the same size bikini top and bottom and how many high street stores sell bikinis as separates? Not enough I hear you cry. For the first time in a long time I have 4 bikini sets (that actually match!) and that fit me well. That's all thanks to asos! They sell amazing separates and they do regular sizes (i.e 8-18) and then a fuller busted version for those that need a little more support, like myself, and they're all reasonably priced (I managed to snag most of mine in the sales) and this one is on my wish list and I may splurge on this before I begin my shopping ban!
